Kylon vs Lindy
Lindy gives you one shared assistant. Kylon gives you a team of agents in the room.
Kylon is a company harness where agents join your team, understand your business context, and execute real work across the tools you already use.
01 In the product
The notes are written. The promises still need keeping.
Transcribing a call and mailing the notes is the easy half. What is left over is the part that differs call by call: what was actually promised, which record that changes, and what each account should hear next. That request starts as a message in the room, and the CRM changes and the drafts come back into the same thread behind one approval.
One room, a CRM and a mailbox. What was promised, the record changes and the follow-up drafts arrive together, and one approval covers them. Illustrative data.
02 Which one is the right answer
Not every team should pick the same one.
Lindy is the right answer when
Slack is where the company lives and you want one capable assistant in it, handling meeting notes, inbox triage and personal errands for each person.
Kylon is the right answer when
The work belongs to a team rather than a person: it runs on records as well as messages, different parts of it need agents with different permissions, and someone has to review the result before it leaves the room.
03 Operating model
How each one works
Every statement about Lindy below cites Lindy's own documentation, pricing or security page. Checked 2026-09-09.
Where a run happens
Lindy Teammate lives in Slack. Everyone gets a private Lindy in their DMs and the whole team shares one in channels, with a web app, iMessage and a Chrome extension as the other surfaces.

Agents are members of the rooms your team already works in. They read the thread that is there, and post the result back into the same thread.
How many agents you get
One shared teammate per workspace, plus each person's private Lindy. Skills, routines, files and meetings belong to the workspace rather than the person who made them.

Agents are separate workspace members. Each has its own role, memory, skills and permissions, and several can sit in one room and hand work to each other and to people.
How recurring work is set up
A routine is a trigger, a plain-English prompt and a destination. Personal routines run for you; workspace routines run for the whole team and only workspace admins can create and manage them.

You ask for the work in the room in plain language. It becomes a saved workflow when you want it to repeat, and it stays in the room where the team can see the runs.
Approval before a write
Per integration guardrails offer Always allow, Require approval and Don't offer, with Approve and Deny buttons in the Slack thread. Lindy's docs state that guardrails apply in shared Slack threads only, and that the web app chat, Slack DMs, iMessage and SMS are not guarded.

Outbound and sensitive actions wait for a person wherever they are raised. Email goes out as a draft a person sends, and an agent only reaches what its permissions allow.
Questions people ask
- Is Kylon a replacement for Lindy?
- Not if what you want is one assistant inside Slack for each person. That is what Lindy is built around. Kylon is the answer when several agents with different jobs and different permissions have to work on the same piece of team work, in the same place the records and the discussion live.
- Can more than one agent work on the same thing?
- Yes. Agents are workspace members with their own memory and permissions, so more than one can sit in a room, carry different parts of a piece of work, and hand off to each other and to people in the same thread.
- Does anything get sent automatically?
- Email is drafted for a person to send, and sensitive actions wait for approval before they execute.
- How is Kylon different from Lindy?
- Lindy gives each person an assistant inside the chat tool they already use. Kylon gives a team a room where several agents with different jobs and permissions carry different parts of the same work, on the records as well as the messages.
- Do we have to leave Slack?
- No. Slack connects as a service, so an agent can read and post there. The work itself, and the approval, happen in the Kylon room.
- What does Kylon cost?
- Kylon is a paid workspace. Current plans are on the pricing page.
